Lucas Talents Inc. was established in 1986.

Founder Richard Lucas had formerly worked as a professional actor, director and producer. When his contract was finished for Vancouver's World Fair, EXPO 86, he realized that, while he had loved working with performers throughout his time at the fair, he had not been as impressed by some of their agents. In addition, the Canadian film and television scene had started to grow and he was well aware there was a large and very talented contingent of theatrical actors whose talents would enjoy great success "on-camera".

Lucas Talent Inc. has grown into a thriving literary and talent agency that represents actors, writers and directors. The company also includes our busy children's, commercial and voice departments. Fifteen agents and assistants serve our clients and our facilities include an in house video studio and voice recording booth. Our sister company, Local Color, represents background performers who work in commercials, and as extras, stand-ins and photo-doubles.
